Since 1986, the kitchen has kept the focus on house-made dishes and time-honored recipes. Signature pizzas, pastas, homemade soups, and salad dressings remain part of the routine. It is the kind of pizzeria in San Rafael where familiar orders keep coming back to the table.
One of those recipes won a national title.
Our "For the Love of Mushroom" pizza took the top spot in the Food Network's pizza competition — no red sauce, just a cream and sour cream base, sautéed mushrooms and garlic, mozzarella and provolone, finished with a red wine reduction. It's still on the menu today, served the same way it was the day it won: 10-inch, whole pie only, no substitutions.
